No this has nothing to do with Genetics. Well then again, maybe you can blame my mum and dad for me being a Nerd. Or it could actually be my schooling. Who knows except maybe Freud has the answers.

What this is all about, is my WHY!

Why I started Exact Computers, and why I have been doing it for 25 years or more. But who’s counting. And why we build our own computers instead of having them built by someone else or selling an off the shelf name brand.

Back at the start I wanted a computer, but like everyone I had a limited budget, so I searched around and finally found a computer that was in my price range that had the features I wanted. So a friend and I headed off to get one each. Friends wanted one so I offered to get one for them, they paid me and I organised it. But most of them didn’t know how to set it up, so I would help them.

All these first computers were custom built and I liked that idea as you got what you wanted, and at the price you wanted to pay, so I have kept this theme ever since. I did try ordering in prebuilt ones at first. But found that when they arrived things had shaken loose and also I wasn’t happy with the cabling.

So 25 years on and we still custom build our computer to the price and needs of our customers. And we still set them up, copy your data from your old computer and provide backup so you don’t have to stress when things go wrong.

And I like it like that.

Oh and as i’m male that is the “Y” Chromosome. 🙂
