Moving all your photos and documents onto a USB Stick or Drive is backing up..

This is one I hear on-line and in my shop many times a week. “Yes I backed up my photos, here they are on this stick. But I can’t access them anymore, something is wrong with the stick.” This is where I say, but that’s ok, just copy them back from your computer. Oh No I only back them up onto my stick…… NOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I will repeat two of my mantras, 1 – Backup, Backup, Backup. And 2 – A backup is only a backup when it is in at least 2 places.

If your computer is lost stolen or crashes, you need your data somewhere else, USB Stick, USB Hard Drive, Cloud, another Computer… and if it is all of the above even better.

Other times we sell a customer a USB drive to back up their data, but when they come back in with a failed computer, the backup drive is still unopened in its packaging.  PLEASE if you don’t know how, come and talk to us, we and help set it up and automate it for you.

There is really no excuse these days for losing photos or data, we have so many inexpensive ways to back it up. Just Ask us how..
